Christmas Cocktails

The best thing a hostess can do is to greet her dinner party guests at the door with a cocktail. It says "Welcome and relax in my home" and Christmas is one of the best times to extend this nicety. To that end, I am always looking for unique cocktails to serve at my parties.

Leave it to Apple to have the perfect application to fill this need. It's organized by Champagne Cocktails, Punches, Martinis & Toddies. Any one of these would make a great signature cocktail for a party. There's also glossary of various spirits and ingredients and tips on how to make your own ingredients (like infused vodkas, etc.). What a great tool.

Since I am party planning right now, this is a happy Tackle It Tuesday with 5 Minutes for Mom !
Disclosure: This post was brought to you by your friends at Apple.

I love the apps on the iPhone. I have a cocktail one and the sit and read the cocktail names is truly entertaining. When we traveled to Savannah, I read them out to my husband to keep him awake and we were dying laughing! So funny!

Good luck with the party planning! I wish I had one of those cool kinds of phones, but I have a dumbphone.

How funny I was looking for some great cocktail recipes, when I kept getting this apple page, lol!!! I should read!

Anywho wanted to let you know I made you pumpkin pie cocktails, We loved them but I did have to change the recipe a bit, as it was too strong for most.

I am so with you on holiday cocktails. I made the most yummy cranberry mimosa thingie for my cookie exchange this weekend. I've never seen champagne disappear so quickly.

Sounds useful. A friend always has a martini party, and I'm sure she could use this to find some interesting concoctions she could serve (and I could sample!).

Does this mean you'll have a cocktail for me when I show up at your door?

I'll be right over.

Yes! You're right! From now on I'm going to have a nice drink for my guests as soon as they walk through the door. Now they'll have TWO things to remember my parties by- the Brazilian BBQ, and fabulous, welcoming drinks.
